Pineapple Heads seeks intergalactic domination

All natural fun hair and bath care for children company Pineapple Heads today launched its equity crowdfunding campaign on PledgeMe.

PledgeMe CEO Anna Guenther said it was great to see such an awesome businesswoman activating her community.

“Pineapple Heads is a great company which makes fantastic products, I use them myself — even though they’re for kids,” Ms Guenther said.

“Megan is an impressive CEO — made even more impressive because she’s a Mum with a young son, two dogs, and runs a company with such a strong brand — all on her own.”

Ms Guenther said equity crowdfunding meant more awesome ladies were being funded to grow their businesses.

“Only four percent of funding from Venture Capitalists in the US goes to female founders. Crowdfunding is bringing more diversity to the people who are investing and getting investment,” Ms Guenther said.

Pineapple Heads is looking to raise $250,000 which is just under 8% of the company.

Pineapple Heads' CEO Megan Sanders said she made the decision to equity crowdfund so she could bring people passionate about natural products into her company as well as grow her team and distribution.

“Our crowd is anyone who feels passionate about natural products for children — no baddies allowed,” Ms Sanders said.

“We also want to bring a couple more people into the team. At the moment it’s just me, my son Jimmy — who is 4 years old — and our two dogs!

“The immediate need is two Sales Reps and an in-house Digital Account Manager so we can aggressively open up nationwide distribution.”

Ms Sanders said the bricks and mortar approach continues to build awareness of Pineapple Heads without needing to spend millions of dollars on above-the-line advertising.

“We have eight products currently on shelf across New World supermarkets plus an additional 70 retailers across Australia and New Zealand. We also sell thousands of dollars worth of products online each month.
“As well as continued growth with online sales we will also be focusing on our online presence across social media.

“Our end game is international, interonline and intergalactic domination. Come join us!”

Pineapple Head’s campaign will be live at 10am on Monday 16 March here https://www.pledgeme.co.nz/investments/106
