Making tax simpler

Making tax simpler

Paul Dunne – KPMG National Managing Partner, Tax

Paul Dunne, KPMG’s National Managing Partner for tax, “welcomes the release of the Government’s Making Tax Simpler Green Paper. As the Minister for Revenue has said, Inland Revenue’s Business Transformation is more than an IT project.”

Paul said, “It is often easy for business to ignore tax proposals until there are concrete changes to the law.” With this latest discussion document, “businesses need to sit up and take note now. Once the future direction is set, it will be too late to complain that desirable and achievable benefits for business have not been met.”
