The Warehouse And Neighbourly Announce Partnership

The Warehouse And Neighbourly.Co.NZ Announce Partnership

The Warehouse and New Zealand’s first free and private neighbourhood website, Neighbourly.co.nz, have announced a partnership today to support connected and vibrant communities for all New Zealanders.

Neighbourly.co.nz is building a small family of corporate partnerships with New Zealand companies focused on connecting more closely with and enhancing their local communities. The partnership is the second for Neighbourly.co.nz which announced its first with leading insurance provider AMI in November 2014. Support from the partnerships assists with the day-to-day running and ongoing development of the Neighbourly.co.nz platform.

The Warehouse CEO, Simon Turner says they’re “really pleased the team at Neighbourly.co.nz has given us the opportunity to be a part of their platform”.

“Our community sausage sizzles, local fundraising activities and national charity events will all be promoted through the site,” he says. “This means even more people can be made aware of what they can do to help those in need in their community.”

Neighbourly.co.nz co-founder Casey Eden says The Warehouse’s dedication to numerous national, regional and neighbourhood initiatives, along with their significant experience within the community space, makes them an exceptional partner.

“In addition to being a well-loved and trusted Kiwi brand, The Warehouse contributes an amazing amount to Kiwi communities,” he says. “From charity sausage sizzles outside most of their 92 stores through to its incredible support of local organisations through The Warehouse Group Foundation, we’re proud to be partnering with a company that shares our vision of helping make New Zealand a better place to live.”

Neighbourly fosters interaction and conversation between neighbours and community organisations by creating an easy way for them to talk and share online through free and private websites for their suburbs. Members use the site to exchange recommendations on local services, ask questions and share advice, find employment, plan events, discuss local issues and get to know one another.

Since launching in June 2014, Neighbourly has grown to a membership of over 110,000 across 1,700 suburbs with hundreds of new members joining throughout New Zealand every day.
