ANZ waives fees for International Money Transfers into Nepal

ANZ today announced that it will waive fees for International Money Transfers made via internet banking into Nepal, as relief efforts continue following the devastation of the earthquake.

The fee waiver will apply to fund transfers made from Thursday 30 April until Monday June 1 by ANZ customers in New Zealand and Australia.

“We recognise the devastation caused by the earthquake and the major challenges faced by the Nepalese people. This waiver is one way we can help ensure urgently needed cash gets to where its most needed,” said Fred Ohlsson, ANZ NZ Managing Director Retail and Business Banking.

ANZ NZ has also opened an Appeal Account to help those impacted by the Nepal Earthquake. All proceeds of the appeal fund will go directly to Red Cross New Zealand to help with those affected.

Donations can be made at any ANZ branch, or directly to the appeal account online:
