Kidspot Au Pair of the Year Award 2015

New Zealand’s second Au Pair of the Year award has been announced recognise the contribution that many young travellers are making to the lives of Kiwi families, as well as increase awareness amongst parents au pair childcare, a concept still relatively fresh to New Zealand.

In association with Kidspot, Au Pair Link (New Zealand’s leading and largest au pair agency) is proud to continue its sponsorship of the award. Au Pair Link’s General Manager, Casey Muraahi, says the awards are a great way to spread the word but also provide a real sense of gratitude to the au pairs who visit New Zealand.

“We hear stories every day that quite often have our team reaching for the box of tissues, simply because you can really sense the heartfelt appreciation that our families have, not for our team, but for their au pairs and the way they are with their little ones. It’s really what makes running an au pair agency worthwhile, there’s nothing quite like it!”

In 2012, the winner of the New Zealand Au Pair of the Year Award, Femke Meyer, who matched with a Christchurch family through Au Pair Link, went on to win the International Au Pair Association’s grand prize, presented at their annual conference in Rome.

The winner of this year’s award will win domestic return airfares to Queenstown and 3 nights’ accommodation. In addition, the nominating host family will win a free au pair placement with Au Pair Link.

The Kidspot Au Pair of the Year competition will be run through Kidspot’s Facebook page, as a way to share the story through social media. The awards will be open for nominations from Monday 11th of May until Sunday 28th June. To nominate an au pair, or to read some of the amazing stories, visit Kidspot’s Facebook page.
