Changes at Flight Centre (NZ) Ltd

Flight Centre (NZ) Ltd is pleased to announce the following appointments:
Simon McKearney, General Manager Corporate
Rochelle Kilmartin, Systems Leader Corporate
Sean Berenson, General Manager Product
Danny Bodger, Brand Leader Specialists
Flight Centre (NZ) Ltd Managing Director Chris Greive says there have been number of changes in the business of late, all very positive and reflective of the exciting changes and strategic plans ahead for Flight Centre (NZ) Ltd.

“I’m very pleased with the recent appointments of Simon, Rochelle, Sean and Danny. They all have fantastic track records of success and are well regarded in the industry. I’m looking forward to seeing them lead our teams in what is going to be a very exciting time for Flight Centre (NZ) Ltd in both the corporate and retail spaces.

Mr McKearney, General Manager Corporate, will be responsible for developing strategic direction for Flight Centre’s corporate brands and leading the entire corporate business including FCm Travel Solutions, Corporate Traveller, cievents and Stage and Screen.

Having previously led the corporate team as General Manager for three years before taking on his most recent position as General Manager Product, Mr McKearney brings extensive experience to the role.

With a strong focus on leading technological developments within the corporate space Simon is excited to be re-joining the team.

“I’m thrilled to be back in the corporate space and am looking forward to leading them in what is going to be a very exciting time in corporate travel and delivering upon some specific strategic objectives set by FCTG,” Mr McKearney says.

Previous corporate leader, Andy Jack, will be working with Simon, assuming the newly created role of General Manager FCm.

In another newly created role for the corporate team, Ms Kilmartin, Systems Leader Corporate, will be the driving force behind technological advances within the corporate business.

Well regarded within the industry, Ms Kilmartin brings a range of experience and expertise to her role having been with Flight Centre (NZ) Ltd for over 5 years and working in a leadership position for FCm Travel Solutions for the past 2 years.

Leading a team dedicated to corporate technology Rochelle is very happy to be at the forefront of what will be an exciting time for Flight Centres travel management brands.

“I’m thrilled with the new role and looking forward to delivering a number of new systems and implementing new initiatives into the corporate space,” Ms Kilmartin said.

Mr McKearney says of the appointment, “we are very pleased to have somebody with Rochelle’s experience and industry knowledge coming on board. The new role is a fantastic addition and I’m excited by the cutting edge new offerings we’re going to be able to bring to the table with Rochelle leading the team.”

Mr Berenson, General Manager Product, will lead Flight Centre (NZ) Ltds product division, which encompasses all of the companies supplier relationships, product delivery and contracting division, as well as wholesale business Infinity Holidays and foreign exchange retail business, Travel Money.

In charge of developing the company’s strategic direction for product, Mr Berenson will be responsible for working with a broad range of suppliers to drive conversation and ensure the best deals are being delivered to the New Zealand travel market.

Mr Berenson brings a range of experience and expertise to the role, having been with the Flight Travel Group for over 10 years, most recently in a leadership position as GSA Leader NZ & Nation Leader Specialist Brands.

“I’m really happy to be taking on this role. The existing product team is extremely talented and I’m looking forward to bringing all aspects together to grow an even stronger division,” Mr Berenson said.

Mr Bodger, Brand Leader Specialist Brands, will be responsible for developing strategic initiatives and helping drive the direction of Flight Centres specialist brands, Cruiseabout and Student Flights.

Mr Bodger brings extensive experience to the role, having been with Flight Centre (NZ) Ltd for over 8 years and working in a leadership position with Flight Centre (NZ) Ltds specialist brands for the past year.

“I’m thrilled by this opportunity and really looking forward to being a part of the continued growth that our specialist brands have been experiencing over the past few years,” Mr Bodger says.
