More Accolades for TopShop at Property Awards

More Accolades for TopShop at Property Awards

TopShop’s first foray into the New Zealand market has been heralded at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (“RICS”) annual awards night with two awards going to consultants involved with the project. The RICS is the world's leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property and construction and their Awards night showcases the most inspirational property initiatives and developments.

Boutique agency, Metro Commercial scooped the prestigious Retail Team of the year award, and Rebbeck Dunn Watters were awarded a Merit Award in the Project Management Section. Martin Hudson, Director of Metro Commercial said “the award was a major endorsement of Metro’s strength and depth in the Auckland and Wellington markets. To win this award against strong competition from the other commercial real estate offices around the country is a real boost for what is still a relatively small team and is a further reflection of our strong relationships with valued clients and our reputation as a trusted service provider”.

The Awards are based on qualitative criteria including professionalism, team work, innovation, project success and client satisfaction and, whilst Metro only boast nine team members, with offices in Auckland and Wellington, Metro is consistently recognised as a market leader in retail property leasing, sales and consultancy through the delivery of outstanding results, regularly out-performing the global players.

TopShop's move into Auckland has been a phenomenal success and has added some much needed vitality to the heart of Queen Street. Securing them as a tenant has further enhanced the retail offering to residents and visitors, going someway to meeting the Council’s aspirations of making Queen St the country's top shopping destination.
