Treble Cone Partners with Resorts of the Canadian Rockies

Treble Cone Partners with Resorts of the Canadian Rockies

Treble Cone (Wanaka New Zealand) is excited to announce a marketing and reciprocal partnership with Resorts of the Canadian Rockies who operate Kicking Horse, Fernie and Kimberley amongst other areas.
The crux of the partnership will be around providing a 50% discount to Treble Cone Season Pass and Powder Pass holders on day and multi-day passes at Kicking Horse, Fernie and Kimberley, and in welcoming the Season Pass holders of these ski areas to Treble Cone to experience some of the best available Kiwi skiing.

As the largest ski area on New Zealand's south island, with 700m of leg burning vertical, a reputation for fun natural terrain, spectacular views over Lake Wanaka and the snow-capped Southern Alps, and having been awarded NZ's Best Ski Resort at the World Ski Awards in 2013 and again in 2014, Treble Cone shares a passionate audience of international skiers and riders with Resorts of the Canadian Rockies.

Fernie Alpine Resort (http://skifernie.com), located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, is a powder packed dream turned reality, and in fact, one of the snowiest in North America. Delivering 37 ft/11 m of snow per season, a variety of endless terrain and vistas, uncrowded trails and a mild climate - it's a true winter playground for skiers and riders for all levels. Fernie was awarded Best Ski Resort in North America by the World Snow Awards in 2012.

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort (http://kickinghorseresort.com) has impressed the world by leaps and bounds since opening in 2000. The resort offers a wide variety of terrain, true Canadian champagne powder, and North America's 4th longest vertical.

Kimberley Alpine Resort (http://skikimberley.com) is located in the spectacular Purcell Mountains in British Columbia, and known for North America's largest gladed terrain, light fluffy snow and the perfect addition to a Powder Highway ski safari with Fernie and Kicking Horse, as interchangeable lift tickets allow guests to travel from one resort to the next.

Each resort has ski-in, ski-out lodging to match guest desires from luxury cabins to condo lodges.

‘We're excited to partner with Resorts of the Canadian Rockies to align Treble Cone with the reputation, terrain, snow and overall experience offered by mountains including Kicking Horse and Fernie, and to assist our passionate local skiers and riders and also RCR's to enjoy some of the best available off-season skiing’ Nick Noble, Treble Cone Marketing Manager.

‘New Zealand is a very special place, full of adventure, incredible beauty and passionate people’ says Matt Mosteller, Senior VP of Marketing & Resort Experience, ‘This is the magic match – as the Canadian Rockies region of British Columbia, home to the famed Powder Highway resorts of Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and Kimberley Alpine Resort, are in turn home to authentic towns, big mountains, deepest and most consistent snow in Canada, and people filled with the adventure spirit’ added Mosteller.

Other Treble Cone Season Pass and Powder Pass holder benefits through this partnership include special package rates for lodging, lifts, activities and air through Ski Travel Company.
