Class Action Hero and Other Lawyers in the News

New Zealand's Class Action Hero and Other Lawyers in the News

Wellington, NZ - Christchurch lawyer Grant Cameron is a class action pioneer in New Zealand as the number of class action lawsuits continues to grow.

Interest in class actions with litigation involving bank fees, leaky homes, company liquidations and other matters continues to develop, but Grant Cameron is the pioneer of the litigation and is still a leading light.

LawFuel the law news site has profiled Grant Cameron in an exclusive story available at LawFuel when he talks about the days when he managed to obtain settlements for actions arising from the Cave Creek disaster and the outrages of Lake Alice Hospital.

Using 'out of the box' thinking, Grant Cameron was able to obtain settlements that he is also hoping to obtain from his current action on behalf of earthquake claimants seeking relief from Southern Response in a major action that has secured the backing of a major litigation funder.

Litigation funding and class actions has been increasingly in the news with the announcement in recent days about funding being provisonally for a major action in respect of leaky homes and in an action brought against Mainzeal directors, including former Prime Minister Jenny Shipley.
