Emirates widens French connections for Kiwis

Emirates widens French connections for Kiwis

Emirates Airline and SNCF, France’s national railway company, have initiated a new codeshare partnership which will allow Emirates passengers from New Zealand and other parts of the world to travel to a choice of 19 new destinations in France with just one easy-to-book ticket.

Travellers will be able to fly on Emirates and reach some of France’s most beautiful regions using high speed trains that leave directly from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.

“This codeshare agreement with SNCF opens up new possibilities for our passengers and complements our current direct air services from Dubai to Paris, Lyon and Nice," commented Thierry Antinori, Emirates’ Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.

All of Emirates’ four daily New Zealand services offer direct connections at Dubai with the Paris, Nice and Lyon services, including A380 aircraft all the way from Auckland to Paris.

"Emirates already flies more than 1.2 million passengers to and from France every year. With TGV Air, we’re connecting French regions to our global network and facilitating inbound and outbound traffic. At Paris-Charles de Gaulle, passengers will experience Emirates’ unparalleled comfort and service on board our flagship, the iconic A380,” added Antinori.

As of today, customers are able to book trips with travel dates from June 8 and onwards to these 19 new destinations via Emirates’ website and benefit from the convenience of holding a single ticket. First Class and Business Class passengers will automatically be booked in First Class on board SNCF’s TGV trains.

Meanwhile, Emirates has commenced a daily nonstop service to the island of Bali from Dubai, the airline’s second Indonesian destination and 146th global destination. The service between Dubai and Bali is operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a two-class configuration.

Emirates’ daily flight to Bali departs Dubai as EK398 at 0820hrs and arrives at Bali’s Denpasar International Airport at 2140hrs the same day. The return flight, EK399, departs at 2340hrs and arrives at Dubai International Airport at 0500 the next day (all times local).
