Boost in event management business creates jobs

Boost in event management business creates jobs

Event Impressions Limited, a premium event management company, has created three new roles in the business to manage an increase in demand for their services and to expand their service offering.

Co-founder and managing director Jacqui Alexander said their team had been run off their feet coping with an increase in their client base as well as launching a new business Pictive.

“Over the last six months we have been blown away by the increased demand for the event industry and our services.

“To be able to deliver exceptional events to all our clients, both new and existing, it was crucial to expand our event management team. We created two new positions to ensure our staff have manageable workloads and we still have capacity to continue to grow the business,” she said.

"In May we launched Pictive, a business providing the latest in photo entertainment solutions including a flipbook studio, digital graffiti wall and hashtag printer. We have been inundated with enquiries so we have also created an additional new role to work in both Event Impressions and Pictive,” Mrs Alexander said.

JP Alquezar has been appointed as Production and Design Manager for both Event Impressions and Pictive. He has over 20 years hospitality experience as well as 12 years working for a busy audio-visual company.

“We are excited to have JP join our team. He has the perfect blend of skills; extensive technical knowledge coupled with strong customer service and provides an additional skillset for both event management logistics and our Pictive products,” she said.

To increase capacity for event management Event Impressions have recruited two new full-time positions to help with everything from meeting clients, quoting new jobs and managing them through to completion.

The two new positions will compliment Zoe Saville Wood, event specialist, who joined the Event Impressions team a year ago. Ms Saville Wood welcomes the new additions. She acknowledges there is a greater demand for events and is pleased to see the company and team grow to accommodate.

“Cheyne Stevens joins the team as event specialist and will be based in the Auckland office. With close to ten years in the hospitality and event industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team. Her role will be to work with clients to create fabulous events from concept to reality,” Mrs Alexander said.
Ms Stevens was drawn to Event Impressions due to the calibre of events they are known for.

“Event Impressions are the leaders in the event management industry. They pride themselves on being ‘on-trend’ and work with clients to create exceptional events. I am thrilled to be part of the team producing and managing these events” Ms Stevens said.

Denise Byrne is also a new team member at Event Impressions and will be based in the Rotorua office.

“Denise brings a European flavour and experience to the team. From Ireland Ms Byrne has worked for a range of conference organisers and event companies and we are delighted to welcome her to the team,” Mrs Alexander said.

Ms Byrne said she was keen to work at Event Impressions and bring her international experience to the role.

“I am passionate about events and am always seeking to deliver the holy grail in the event industry – the perfect quote that meets the client brief, a theme that wows them and matches budget expectations,” she said.

Ms Byrne, Ms Stevens and Mr Alquezar started at Event Impressions and Pictive in May and June respectively.
