Masport - The Brand My Grandfather Trusts

Masport - The Brand My Grandfather Trusts

Earning and maintaining the trust of kiwis, Masport has once again proudly secured the top spot in the 2015 Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brands award, in the Gardening Equipment Division.

Masport’s General Manager Steve Hughes proclaims “It’s an absolute honour. We are again proud to be classified as a brand that builds and keeps its promise over time - coming up 105 years to be exact!”

Hughes continues “We are humbled, particularly when we have drilled down into the research that Reader’s Digest has completed. We love to see the whole generational aspect continue to shine through. Examples such as: ‘the brand my Grandfather trusted’, and ‘it’s a brand I have known since I was a child and my Dad trusts it too’ were numerous”.

“Longevity of brand and quality of product also resonated throughout the results. Given the changes that have occurred over the past century at Masport, from manufacturing World War II grenades, to creating New Zealand’s first fridge and lawnmower - Masport has weathered some hard times! We also pride ourselves on providing quality products that meet the needs of consumers.”

Steve Hughes goes on to say “We don’t take this acknowledgement from our New Zealand consumers for granted; there is always still work to do and we pledge to continue to bring innovation, world-class standards and a vast range of choice to kiwis.”
