Wellington Property People Awards

Wellington Property People Awards

Property Council Wellington Branch is proud to launch its inaugural Wellington Property People Awards.

For the first time in Wellington, commercial property professionals, developers, investors, managers and enthusiasts get the opportunity to be recognised and celebrated for their commitment to the industry and the local economy.

The Branch is taking nominations in seven categories:

• Young Achiever of the Year

• Long service Award

• Urban Design & Architectural Merit

• Best Team for Regional Project

• Property Industry Associate of the Year

• Outstanding Leadership Award

• Wellington Laureate Award

Wellington Branch president Mike Cole says it gives him immense pleasure to launch the awards which offer a platform to profile people’s outstanding contributions to making Wellington a great place to live, work and play.

“The old adage “build it and they will come” is easy to say but considerably harder to execute. Those that have the courage and vision to create projects that add to the vibrancy and economic depth of our region deserve to be recognised.

“We must celebrate the individuals who add value to our region. There is far too much attention given to the naysayers who conveniently forget that the lovely “old pile” they see as essential to the fabric of their neighbourhood probably replaced a similarly thought-of previous project.

“With great people doing great projects, we can lift Wellington back to where it belongs: the vibrant heart of the country.”

The Property People Awards, in partnership with Hawkins Construction and AECOM, will be held on 17 September.

Nominations are now open.
