Calling all entrepreneurs - the Trade-Up Challenge needs you

Calling all entrepreneurs - the Trade-Up Challenge needs you!

ADC is on the hunt for New Zealand’s most enthusiastic entrepreneurs to take part in a new annual charity event: The Trade-Up Challenge. Put your trading skills to the test and see how far you can make $2 go!

The challenge is based on a principle central to microfinance: take a small amount of capital and turn it into something much more valuable. The proceeds will be invested into our projects in Myanmar and Malawi, so you’ll be able to see your contribution change lives!

Traders will be given $2, and will have three weeks to buy something, then trade it up to bigger and better items - making modifications along the way if they choose. When time's up, their items will be auctioned off on TradeMe.

During the challenge, traders will also seek donations from supporters to increase their net worth. There are great prizes up for grabs for the most valuable businesses!

The inaugural Trade-Up Challenge takes place from September 4-26, 2015.

Anyone can apply to take part - you just need to show us that you’ve got the creativity and enthusiasm it will take to be a successful trader. Applications close on August 16. Go to www.tradeupchallenge.com to learn more and register your interest.

Event and prize sponsors are also being sought.
