Xero's Jenkins to leave this year when Narayan is aboard

Xero executive Ross Jenkins to step down this year after handover to incoming CFO Narayan

By Tina Morrison

Aug. 5 (BusinessDesk) - Xero, the cloud-based accounting software developer, said chief operating officer and interim chief financial officer Ross Jenkins will retire by the end of this calendar year following a transition to incoming CFO Sankar Narayan.

Wellington-based Xero announced in April that Jenkins would temporarily step into the CFO role, which he had previously held for three years, while the company searched for a replacement for Douglas Jeffries who left after only two months in the role.

Xero announced in June that Narayan, currently chief financial officer for Virgin Australia, would take up the CFO role with Xero in October.

Separately, Xero chief marketing officer Andy Lark will expand his role to cover all "go-to-market activities", including sales, marketing, education and partnering, the company said.

Xero shares advanced 0.9 percent to $17.55 and have gained 7.7 percent so far this year.
