Kaitaia locals get a Fresh fix

Kaitaia locals get a Fresh fix

Last weekend, Kaitaia locals were treated to delicious fresh produce as Click Fresh, a new fresh food business, opened on Commerce Street.

Click Fresh is bringing healthy, fresh food to Kaitaia. They offer produce, healthy meals and drinks, meal ideas, weekly specials and delicious coffee. Passionate about supporting local communities, owners Logan Wedgwood and Alan Grainger are partnering with local farmers to sell locally-grown produce and hiring Kaitaia residents to run the store and café.

The store’s official opening saw 140 customers treated to free coffee, hot soup, organic Nicecreams and samples of the food available in-store. The building was opened with a blessing from a local Minister, while staff members - many of whom have lived in Kaitaia a long time - greeted people by name.

“Often small towns don’t have many healthy food options, but we’re looking to change that,” says co-owner Logan. “We’re thrilled with the turnout at Click Fresh’s opening, and we’re looking forward to offering delicious, locally-sourced food to the people of Kaitaia.”

In line with their vision of working with the local community, Click Fresh are teaming up with a class of students from Kaitaia Primary School. The children will help them paint a mural on the outside of their building, and will be rewarded with delicious fresh food and art supplies for their school.

Click Fresh is open Tuesday - Saturday, 8am - 5pm. For your fresh fix of good food at good prices, head down to 47 - 49 Commerce Street, Kaitaia town centre.
