Talent Unleashed 2015 Announces Steve Wozniak & New Zealand’s Dan Radcliffe as Judges

Apple Inc co-founder, Steve Wozniak, together with New Zealand EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014, Dan Radcliffe, have been announced as judges of the 2015 Talent Unleashed Awards, alongside Sir Richard Branson and a panel of high-profile tech and entrepreneurship experts. Entries close on Monday 17 August 2015.

Talent Unleashed 2015 gives two budding entrepreneurs the chance to win the trip of a lifetime to Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island. Richard Branson leads this year’s judging panel, and he will announce and personally present the 2015 Talent Unleashed winners at the global Awards final ceremony on 11 September in Sydney, Australia.

“We are thrilled to announce that Steve Wozniak and Dan Radcliffe are on the 2015 Talent Unleashed judging panel. Steve Wozniak, Sir Richard Branson and Dan Radcliffe are obviously some of the world’s best entrepreneurs and tech experts to judge an awards program like Talent Unleashed,” Talent International managing director Richard Earl said.

“Importantly, this year’s Talent Unleashed Awards also launches a new category: Most Disruptive CIO/CTO. This award recognises the growing necessity for individuals in these roles to innovate their business systems and harness technology so that they not only grow, but survive.”

On joining the 2015 Talent Unleashed Awards judging panel, Steve Wozniak said: “I'm delighted to be involved again in this year's Talent Unleashed Awards and look forward to checking out the best start ups, the most disruptive organisations and the boldest and most visionary leaders. We need to continually recognise and support those people and companies that can and are making the world a better place, so it's great to see the guys at Talent International supporting this scene.”

Dan Radcliffe said: "I’m really excited to be part of the judging team for the 2015 Talent Unleashed Awards. The awards have gathered a reputation for recognising the best of the best in the social entrepreneurship and innovation space, and I'm excited to see the calibre of the entrants this year.”

Now in its third year, Talent Unleashed is a world-first, global technology awards program for start-ups, entrepreneurs and visionary leaders, rewarding and recognising individuals who are unleashing, innovating and changing technology in business and the community.

Sir Richard Branson said: "The technology sector will continue to transform and disrupt the global economy for many years to come and importantly can make the world a better place. We must encourage more talented individuals and organisations to become bolder and more active and in the process help drive innovation, invention and more efficiency and change across many sectors. Judges also include: LinkedIn South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand’s managing director, Cliff Rosenberg; CatchaGroup founder, Patrick Grove from Singapore; Hong Kong’s Outblaze CEO Yat Siu; and passionate social issues campaigner, Jane Tewson.

The Talent Unleashed Awards attract entries from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the UK and Europe. Talent will fly all Asia Pacific category finalists to Sydney for the Awards event on 11 September. There will also be an Awards event in London for finalists from the UK and Europe, with the two winners from that program pitching to be considered the overall 2015 Talent Unleashed Awards winner via video link at the Awards final in Sydney.

The 2015 Talent Unleashed Awards categories are:

- Best Start Up – Community or Social Impact: recognising start ups that have usetechnology to solve a social or community issue

- Best Start Up – Environmental Impact: recognising the essential and inspiring work of people and organisations confronting the world’s most difficult environmental problems

- Best Digital Consultancy: recognising the best SME’s in the digital services and enablement sector

- Most Disruptive CIO/CTO: recognising the technology chief that has achieved amazing results at their company through a disruptive or transformative approach to their technology strategy

- Best Tech IPO/Venture Capital Raising: recognising a game changing technology-related business which has achieved a successful listing or capital raising in the past 12 month
