The Breeze and Mai FM Launch in Whanganui

The Breeze and Mai FM Launch in Whanganui

MediaWorks is delighted to announce that The Breeze and Mai FM launched in Whanganui last night.

Both brands are entering the local market on the back of a huge national following.

The Breeze Content Director, Ian Avery says: “The Breeze Network is massive success story. It has been steadily growing here in NZ since 2006 and is now the number one brand for females 40-59 (TNS New Zealand Commercial National Survey 2014/2, Cumulative Audience, Mon-Sun 12MN-12MN, Females 40-59). We are so pleased to add another market to our Breeze family and provide Whanganui with some great music and content on-air and online.”

Whanganui listeners are in for another treat with the launch of Mai FM, New Zealand’s number one Hip Hop and RnB brand.*

With Mai’s exceptional line up of on-air personalities, and incredible stable of Mai Mix Weekend DJs, Whanganui can expect to hear the hottest Hip Hop and RnB 24/7.

Mai FM Content Director, DJ Sir-Vere says: “I’ve been playing gigs in Whanganui for years now and have seen first-hand that the hunger for Hip Hop and RnB is as strong as it is in markets we have launched in recently – like Gisborne and Hamilton. I have no doubt that Mai will have the same success and engagement in Whanganui.”

Both The Breeze and Mai FM will offer niche opportunities for businesses to partner these brands.

MediaWorks Whanganui General Manager, Rod Bannister says “MediaWorks Whanganui expects to deliver new, unique and exceptional listening to our clients and community through the launch of The Breeze and Mai FM radio brands.”
