Australia HQ committed to driving Kiwis to Century 21 brand

Australia HQ committed to driving more Kiwis to Century 21 brand

Sunday, 8 November 2015

Century 21 Australasia is increasingly focused on driving the success of its New Zealand business reinforced by the fact that the Head of Franchise Services Australia & New Zealand Ian Carter is currently based in Auckland.

Over from Century 21 Australasia’s head office in Sydney, Mr Carter says overall company owner Charles Tarbey acquired Century 21 New Zealand in 2012 with the view that growing its slice of the New Zealand marketplace was imperative to the company’s overall success.

“We don’t see New Zealand as some kind of seventh state of Australia. This market has its own identity and intricacies, but let’s not forget that the expectations of vendors and buyers differ little between our two countries. It’s all about exemplary service and hard work, and as an Australasian company we are delighted with the great progress we’re making in New Zealand.”

Mr Carter says Century 21 New Zealand is attracting some good people into the business with the opening of two brand new offices in Albany and Golflands, Howick in recent weeks a sure sign of real momentum.

“Century 21 is the world’s largest residential real estate sales organisation. In New Zealand we have consolidated our company since it was acquired by Charles Tarbey, with all but one office being situated in the North Island. However we have aggressive growth plans which include having a strong presence across all regions of New Zealand.”

He says a greater piece of the New Zealand real estate market is achievable helped by the dominance and reach of Century 21 internationally. The company has industry-leading sales systems and backend support in place allowing agents to deliver world-class service to both buyers and sellers.

Century 21’s global website www.century21global.com also has unbeatable reach and capability if vendors want to reach the likes of expats or overseas investors.

People can instantly translate the entire website into 16 languages, with email questions and answers also easily translated. Every listing with Century 21 New Zealand is included on the Century 21 global website at no cost to the vendor.

National Manager of Century 21 New Zealand, Geoff Barnett, says its great head office Australasia is committed to the success of its New Zealand business.

“We are very grateful that our owner is Charles Tarbey. He’s an absolute real estate legend and has a huge profile in Australia as a leading property expert. It’s great he’s sent out Ian Carter to help bridge the two businesses and offer our franchise owners and agents some extra support.

“Having Ian on the ground is already breaking down any perceived barriers between the Australia and New Zealand businesses. However the Rugby World Cup result might’ve set that back a bit. Nonetheless while Ian’s been getting plenty of ribbing lately about the rugby, he has been very warmly received by our offices throughout New Zealand. It all bodes well for a stronger future,” says Mr Barnett.

Century 21 is the largest real estate sales organisation in the world with over 280 offices in Australasia and over 7,500 offices in 80 countries worldwide. Visit www.century21.co.nz
