New Zealand Government selects leading dedicated enterprise mobility solutions provider as part of its TaaS supplier panel

The New Zealand Government earlier today announced the selection of Mobile Mentor to its Telecommunications-as-a-Service (TaaS) supplier panel to provide the government with mobile security solutions and managed mobility services.

The TaaS supplier panel enables NZ government agencies to easily access competitive and innovative telecoms services and to benefit from the innovation and leadership of smaller specialist providers such as Mobile Mentor.

Under the managed security section of the TaaS contract, Mobile Mentor will provide software and sevices for mobile device management (MDM), mobile policy management and mobile threat management. Threat management is the automatic detection, review and remediation of malicious apps via an app reputation scanning engine that is integrated into the MDM platform. The service also includes daily security vulnerability monitoring and recommendations for action.

Mobile Mentor has extended its long-term partnerships with AirWatch and Revera for the security software and hosting services to meet the stringent security requirements required for government.

The managed mobility services include a specialist 24x7 mobile service desk, mobile asset management, mobile expense management and app management. App management is the distribution, support and lifecycle management of enterprise apps.
