Vodafone gives businesses more freedom to work on the go

Vodafone gives Kiwi businesses more freedom to work on the go with OneDrive secure file storage

Today Vodafone announced Microsoft OneDrive for Business is now available on selected Vodafone business mobile plans. This cloud-based storage solution helps businesses stay confidently connected by enabling them to access work files on the go.

Vodafone is the first telecommunications retailer in New Zealand to include cloud storage solution to business customers on selected business mobile plans. OneDrive for Business will be available free for 24 months.

More than 20 per cent of New Zealand businesses currently use cloud storage for business documents and files.[i] More than 80 per cent say mobile technology is important to optimise the way they work.[ii]

Made for a truly mobile world, Microsoft’s OneDrive for Business service gives Vodafone business customers the ability to manage, share and collaborate on work documents anytime, anywhere, with ease and security.

As part of Vodafone’s offering, OneDrive for Business is managed under a single business account - giving business owners a range of security controls to manage how their staff can access and share information.

Vodafone’s Enterprise Director, Ken Tunnicliffe says, “Our business customers have told us that mobility and better connectivity helps them to work faster and smarter.

“By providing a reliable online file storage solution free with their mobile plan, we aim to remove some of the unnecessary complexities of running a business.”

Another standout benefit of OneDrive for Business is the ability for team members to collaborate on files in real time from different locations.

Ken says, “Vodafone is a total communications company focused on delivering sustainable benefits to businesses both in New Zealand and across the globe - and key to this is ensuring our customers can work at their best by being confidently connected.

“Modern businesses are constantly on the go and mobile phones and tablets are a lifeline – so we understand how frustrating it can be if a key document, file or data set is not instantly accessible when you or your team needs to make a decision or take action on the spot.

“The power of being connected from anywhere at any time means we can open the door to greater productivity in order to support our customers to be great today, and ready for tomorrow”.

OneDrive for Business (1TB of online file storage) will be free for 24 months on selected Vodafone business mobile plans: Red+ Business Essentials, Red+ Business, Red+ Business Super and Business Black.

Customers must opt-in to receive a OneDrive for Business license. OneDrive for Business is available to all new and existing customers on eligible plans.
