ASB named New Zealand Bank of the Year

For the third consecutive year, ASB has been named the New Zealand Bank of the Year by leading London-based magazineThe Banker.

ASB received the award at the International Bank of the Year awards held in London last night.

The prestigious awards recognise the best banks around the world, chosen from entries which detail organisations’ achievements against relevant financial industry criteria.

Bank of the Year judges highlighted the innovative ASB Card Control function that provides ASB credit card customers with security features they can control from within the ASB Mobile app.

ASB chief executive Barbara Chapman says ASB’s success comes from focusing first and foremost on its customers, across all segments of the bank.

“The financial services landscape is changing rapidly and I’m delighted ASB has been recognised for delivering outstanding experiences for our customers in the face of increased regulation and a digital revolution,” Ms Chapman says.

“By focusing on the fundamentals of unbeatable service and doing the best by our communities and our people, we are proud to have our success benchmarked against some of the world’s biggest banks.”
