Mark Sainsbury to Be New Host of Radiolive’s Morning Talk Show

MediaWorks is delighted to announce that Mark Sainsbury will be the new host of RadioLIVE’s Morning Talk Show from the first of February next year.

Mark replaces Sean Plunket who will be finishing with the company on the 18th of December.

Mark’s already very familiar to RadioLIVE audiences, having hosted Sunday Mornings on LIVE since September 2013. Mark’s also been a very regular stand-in on LIVE’s day-time talks shows as well as hosting Breakfast for three months at the beginning of this year in the lead up to the launch of Paul Henry in April.

Mark says: “I’ve really enjoyed doing my Sunday morning show and love radio, so the opportunity to take on a bigger role that gives me an even greater opportunity to connect directly with our audiences is one that I just couldn’t turn down.”

RadioLIVE Network Director Cliff Joiner says: “Mark brings a wealth of journalistic and hosting experience to the role having spent time as a political editor, foreign correspondent, current affairs reporter and host of Close Up, not to mention his more recent radio experience here with us at LIVE.

“Mark’s news background, wealth of life experience, warm conversational tone and quick sense of humour make him an ideal talk show host and a welcome addition to the LIVE line-up.”

Mark will start his first Morning Talk show on the first of February but he will also be hosting RadioLIVE’s Breakfast show in late January in the weeks leading up to the return of Paul Henry – to RadioLIVE and TV3 – also on the first of February.
