Institute of Directors’ new GM Commercial

The Institute of Directors pleased to announce that Kirsten Ralph, a commercial manager from Department of Conservation, will join its leadership team in 2016 as its General Manager Commercial.

IoD Chief Executive Simon Arcus says Ms Ralph will lead the IoD’s governance training and consultancy services.

“Kristen has a proven ability to develop strategic partnerships that yield commercial benefits, and in-depth experience with strategic planning, leading business units, and in building the capability of staff. She strongly identifies with the IoD’s strategic imperative of helping to raise the standard of governance across all levels of NZ business and society, with an emphasis on best practice.”

Ms Ralph is an experienced commercial manager who has held senior roles across both the public and private sectors. For the past three years she has been the Commercial Manager Public Conservation Land for the Department of Conservation. Prior to this was with Inland Revenue for about six years in a variety of roles from Strategic Designer Policy Advice and Corporate Strategy to National Advisor Operational Strategy and Design.

Ms Ralph has a Master of Arts, Master of Commerce in Marketing and a Bachelor of Economics and Marketing.

Ms Ralph will begin with the Institute of Directors in late January.
