Northland Hotels rated among the best

Northland Hotels rated among the best

Two Northland hotels have been rated up with the best in the 2016 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards for the top 25 Small Hotels in New Zealand.

“Waipoua Lodge at Waipoua Forest is rated at five and Kauri Cliffs near Matauri Bay at 15. Both are to be congratulated for gaining recognition in these awards,” says Northland Inc General Manager, Regional Promotions, Paul Davis.

“They have been absolute standout establishments here in the Northland so being named in the awards is great for them and great for Northland.

“It is wonderful achievement for Ian and Fran Tarrant at Waipoua Lodge and they will be over-the-moon to be acknowledged for the fourth straight year.”

Kauri Cliffs Lodge on the Kauri Cliffs estate and golf course near scenic Matauri Bay was named twice in the awards. It was also named in the top 25 Luxury Hotels in sixth place.

“Well done to Kauri Cliffs for their success so early in the new year, it just enhances the reputation of the quality they offer at the Lodge to people looking for a high quality visitor experience,” Paul says.

The TripAdvisor awards are based on millions of reviews and views from travellers looking for destinations, attractions and accommodation all over the world.
