Kombucha makers announce new coffee flavour

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Kombucha makers Goodbuzz Brewing announce new coffee flavour

WELLINGTON, NEW ZEALAND, February 4, 2016 - Wellington’s award-winning kombucha brewer, Goodbuzz Brewing, has launched a new flavour, adding coffee to their already popular product line up.

“The Coffee Kombucha has been about a year in the making,” shared Alex Campbell, one-half of the Goodbuzz Brewing team. “We’ve been keen on releasing this for a while, but we had to get the recipe just right so that it has a great taste, is shelf stable and won’t affect the kombucha ‘mothers’. Coffee is very oily and the mother will absorb those oils and not be able to brew again, so removing much of those oils while retaining all flavour was a task to get right.”

Goodbuzz Brewing is well-known around New Zealand for their non-alcoholic probiotic soft-drinks called kombucha or Booch®. The coffee flavour is a welcome addition to the family already in place, which showcases flavours such as Origins, Jade Dew, Green Jasmine, Lemon Ginger and Feijoa.

“The newest brew tastes like a cold-brewed coffee, with a tangy bite and a refreshing fizz, “ Campbell explained. “It’s still probiotic, like our current range, and low in sugar at only 2.1 grams per 100ml. We recommend that folks pour it into a pint glass upon opening as it creates a delicious creamy head like a stout beer.”

The coffee flavour started shipping out to Goodbuzz Brewing’s stockists on the first of February.

About Goodbuzz Brewing:
