Get Happy With New Website

Get Happy With New Website

5/02/2016

New website and deal finder Get Happy launched this week in Auckland and Wellington. The site lets users find cheap food, drink, and entertainment options in their area.

“It's about collating all those '2 for 1' deals and cheap movie nights in one place”, says Get Happy CEO Lake McKenna, “we saw a need for people to find deals for tonight, and not have to print off anything to get it.” The site allows users to search for deals based on their location, what day they want to go out, and what type of offer they would like to experience. McKenna says he was inspired to create the site when looking for a place to eat one night, “We were just walking around town not wanting to go to the same place again, but saying to ourselves 'there must be some food deal on somewhere!'”. The inevitable 'there should be an app for that' conversation started, and the seed was sown.

The site is mobile-friendly and works on desktops, PCs and Macs. Those in the smaller centres and the South Island will have to wait for deals in their area to be added. “We're uploading deals all the time and our team is working like crazy, but we just want to test things in Auckland and Wellington before we roll it out to the rest of the country”, says McKenna.

Get Happy is online now at www.gethappy.co.nz. Deals are currently only available in Wellington and Auckland. Email gethappynz@gmail.comfor deal ideas.
