Amos Ready to Take Flight

Amos Ready to Take Flight

It’s been 8 years since Amos Leeks last saw his daughter and has never met his five year old grandchild now living in Colorado in the United States. That will all change this July thanks to World Travellers Best Travel and the Hastings City Business Association. Amos has saved over the years to take his dream holiday but something has always popped up depleting his travel fund. When he saw the Passport to Paradise promotion run by the Hastings City Business Association before Christmas he thought why not give it a try and collected all the stamps needed at Hastings shops and cafes to enter. When the phone rang on Christmas Eve he thought it might be a scam because he had never won anything in his life. “He was very reluctant to believe me when I called to give him the good news. By the end of the phone call he had all of us in tears listening to his excitement.” Says Susan McDade General Manager from the HCBA. Christine and Bill Sheppard owners of Best Travel were thrilled to hand over the $3500.00 International Travel prize to such a deserving winner. “We have all become very fond of Amos here at Best Travel and it’s been a pleasure to help such a lovely man make lasting memories” says Mrs Sheppard. Going the extra mile, Christine has helped Mr Leeks organise his passport and insurance so he is ready to take his dream trip in the North American summer.
