Snow guns blazing as Crowne Plaza Queenstown releases winter packages

Snow lovers’ alert - snowmaking guns are pumping out the white stuff and your winter adventure awaits in New Zealand’s favourite winter playground.

Award-winning ski hotel Crowne Plaza Queenstown has teamed up with Cardrona Alpine Resort and NZSki's The Remarkables and Coronet Peak ski fields to offer guests two superb ski packages this winter.

A Cardrona ski package is available for skiers and snowboarders staying at the centrally-located lakeside hotel for a minimum of three nights between June 11 and October 9.

The deal is available for all room types and includes a complimentary full buffet breakfast at threesixty restaurant, a full day lift pass for two at Cardrona Alpine Resort and door-to-door return transport.

Meanwhile, snowsports enthusiasts keen to experience the best spring riding or ski conditions can Ski Into September and save up to NZ$630 per person between September 1 and October 2 2016.

The NZSki package combines seven nights’ accommodation at Crowne Plaza with daily complimentary breakfast, and a five-day lift pass for The Remarkables and Coronet Peak ski fields.

Crowne Plaza Queenstown general manager Reinier Eulink says the superb value packages ensure visitors can ski, play and stay in Queenstown this winter.

“As Queenstown’s favourite ski hotel we’re delighted to offer these exclusive winter packages to our guests,” he says.

“With up-to-the-minute snow reports, tasty take-away lunches, in-room massage options, in-hotel ski rental service and secure and heated ski gear storage, we’re the perfect home-away-from home for that winter holiday.

“Our restaurant threesixty will energise eager skiers for an exhilarating day up the mountain, and if they’re taking advantage of the transport option it leaves plenty of time for guests to map out their favourite ski terrain for the day ahead.

“After an adventurous day up the slopes, guests are invited to slip into après-ski mode, relax and unwind with a warming mulled wine, an ice-cold beer or sample a signature cocktail in our city-style Martini Bar.”

Widely known as Queenstown’s chic, friendly and cosmopolitan downtown hotel and the perfect ski base, Crowne Plaza Queenstown is at the centre of it all, enjoying the best in-town location overlooking stunning Lake Wakatipu and the spectacular Remarkables mountain range.

“There’s nothing quite like the landscape of snow-covered mountains and green valleys married with clear, blue days in Mother Nature's backyard to ensure the best winter holiday ever,” says Mr Eulink.

“Guests booking their winter getaway can also take advantage of evening flights in and out of Queenstown airport, meaning they can enjoy the perfect weekend away!”

All three ski areas are home to some of New Zealand's finest ski and snowboard terrain, catering for everyone from families with young children, beginners, advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Upgrade options are available for both packages subject to availability, and additional nights can be booked directly with the hotel. Bookings for the Cardrona ski package must be made seven days in advance and the deadline for booking the Ski into September package is August 15 2016.
