Vodafone today announced the launch of the world’s latest premium smartphones – offering outstanding dual-camera photography for brilliant pictures even in low light conditions.
The cutting-edge Huawei P9 and P9 Plus are a result of a collaboration between the Huawei and world-leading German camera maker, Leica – featuring one 12 megapixel camera for vibrant colour and another 12 megapixel camera for black and white photography.
The camera technology is designed to work together to create beautiful shallow depth-of-field photography, something more commonly associated with a larger professional camera lens.

The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus have a sleek all-metal design, and are the first in a new range of Huawei premium smartphones for Vodafone. Huawei has millions of dedicated followers in Asia and around the rest of the globe, and the Huawei P9 and P9 Plus will be available at great prices from June 1, athttp://www.vodafone.co.nz/ and at retail stores.
To celebrate, Vodafone is launching with a presale offer from May 19. The first 100 purchasers will receive a free Huawei Android Wear Watch valued at $599.
To qualify, they must be On Account Red customers purchasing the P9 on a $0 upfront $99.99 Red+ Essentials 24 month plan, or purchasing a P9 Plus on a $0 upfront on a $129.99 Red+ 24 month plan.
As an added promotional bonus, Vodafone customers will receive a bonus pack that includes a FREE flip case and USB Type-C fast charge kit bundled valued at $148. The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus will be available in grey, with the P9 also available in gold.

They also feature the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, which offers a new power management system that reduces background activity when the device is not being physically handled, making for a longer lasting battery-life.
