Paul Henry Scoops Top Honors at the 2016 NZ Radio Awards

MediaWorks dominates the 2016 NZ Radio Awards, with Paul Henry taking out the Sir Paul Holmes Broadcaster of the Year Award, as well as Best Talk Presenter – All Markets.

Christian Boston was named Best Content Director, recognising an amazing year for the MoreFM Network. More FM also won Best Marketing Campaign for the More FM Dancing with the Stars promotion, and Best Single Market Station Promotion for #School of Ed, while More FM Canterbury won Station of the Year – Surveyed Market.

The Edge’s Jay Jay, Mike and Dom won Best Music Breakfast Show – Network, for a ? time, while The Edge also won Best Network Station Promotion, Best Radio Website, Best Station Imaging, and Best Effective Commercial for the Spookers Halloween – It’s Your Call joint campaign with Mai FM.

The Rock also won big with Drive show Jono and Ben, who won Best Music Non-Breakfast Hosts, Best Video (for Jono & Ben’s Castle Crusade), and Best Single Station Client Campaign for with the Jono V Ben campaign – all for a second time. Plus a joint Best Station Imaging win.

RadioLIVE also cleaned up in the News categories, with Hilary Barry named joint Best Newsreader, Lloyd Burr named Best Journalist, and Best Team Coverage of a News Story awarded to the RadioLIVE News and Drive Teams for their coverage of Jonah Lomu.
