Peoples Coffee Announces New General Manager

Peoples Coffee Sees Departure Of General Manager Liv Doogue And Announces Successor

Peoples Coffee is pleased to announce Shaun Anderson as their new General Manager after current GM Liv Doogue stepped down last week.

Ms Doogue has been with the fair trade, organic roastery for six years overseeing the company’s expansion in to the Auckland market and recent rebrand. The decision was a difficult one for the Auckland-based coffee guru but she is excited to travel and pursue her own personal business endeavors.

I am extremely grateful for the time I have spent with Peoples. I’ve learnt a huge amount, and feel so lucky to have met and been involved with so many wonderful people throughout this journey”.

Shaun will be drawing on more than eight years of experience in the specialty coffee industry, including success as Auckland Regional Manager and Head of Sales for Coffee Supreme and more recently as General Manager at Eighthirty Coffee Roasters. He is also no stranger to the Peoples mantra having previously been the Assistant General Manager for the company.

Owner and founder; Matt Lamason, was very happy with the appointment and has personally voiced his support for Shaun.

“After four years I am very happy to welcome back Shaun to Peoples Coffee. He returns to us at a time when we are hungry to grow our presence in the Auckland market and strengthen our Wellington base. Having introduced Shaun to the coffee industry in 2008, I’m looking forward to having his formidable experience spearheading our team”.

Shaun will officially step in to the role on June 20th.
