Anathoth Jam – The Toast of New Zealand

News Release
June 2016

Anathoth Jam – The Toast of New Zealand

Anathoth Farm has been voted favourite jam for the second time in the Canstar Blue Customer Satisfaction Survey.

The South Island rural jam maker beat six other well-known brands of jam and fruit preserves for taste and overall customer satisfaction.

Anathoth Farm Marketing Manager Danielle Esplin says, “We are humbled that, after 29 years, New Zealanders still believe Anathoth Farm makes the best tasting jam in New Zealand.”

“We engage and talk to our customers a lot; in supermarkets, online and face to face, and we work hard to keep Anathoth Jam the nostalgic and simple flavour that Kiwis fondly remember of homemade jam.”

Canstar surveyed 1,540 Kiwis who had purchased and eaten jam and fruit preserves (including marmalade) in the last three months. 49% rated ‘taste’ as the biggest driver of overall customer satisfaction.

Canstar New Zealand General Manager Jose George says, “Many New Zealanders still start their day with jam on toast, so it was time to find out the nation’s favourite.”

This is the second time Anathoth Farm has been recognised with the Canstar Blue Customer Satisfaction Award having also won the Taste Award in Australia back in 2013.

“After winning the hearts of Australians and being recognised by Canstar Blue across the Tasman, it’s fabulous that we have the opportunity to match the accolade back on home soil”, says Esplin.

To celebrate the win and share the nostalgic taste of traditional jam, Anathoth Farm have created a special Jammy Doughnut recipe perfect for winter weekend baking. (View the recipe below or at www.anathoth.co.nz)
