They will be officially honoured at a gala Hall of Fame dinner at the Silverstream Retreat on Friday, 8 July 2016.

The companies being recognised for delivering sustained business excellence are:

The Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame was created in 2015 by the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce with the support of principal sponsors Deloitte Private.

Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Mark Futter says these eight companies are fantastic examples of businesses that not only contribute to the regional economy but also to the overall health of their respective local communities.

“The aim of the Hall of Fame is to recognise and celebrate significant contributions by businesses to the economic and social fabric of our region,” says Mr Futter.

“These eight businesses showcase the diversity, dedication and resilience required to have a meaningful impact on the global village in which we all live, work and play.”

Deloitte Private Partner Mike Curtis says Deloitte Private is honoured to support this initiative.

“Celebrating business success is very important and something that we don’t do enough of as a country. In the case of the eight inductees, it is not just about developing a business concept but developing a long term sustainable business that contributes in a unique way to the economy. The Hall of Fame initiative is a great way of recognising business excellence and success in the Wellington region,” says Mr Curtis.

“Deloitte Private congratulates both the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce, for creating the Hall of Fame, and the eight inductees for their contributions to the economy and community.”
