Branding expert to speak at Hawke's Bay Export Awards

Exporter and international branding expert David Boyd will be the keynote speaker at the Hawke’s Bay Export Awards in July.

The ASB awards will be the province’s second. They debuted last year when Hastings furniture manufacturer Furnware won the top award. Entries close on July 1.

ExportNZ Hawke’s Bay Executive Officer Amanda Liddle says she’s delighted to have David Boyd as the keynote speaker.

“David has huge experience in the export space, primarily as a company director with a diverse background in manufacturing that is focused on international markets. He is a member of the New Zealand Advisory Board for NZTE’s Beachheads programme, and a Board member of ExportNZ, so we’re looking forward to him passing on some pearls of wisdom.

“He’s also closely associated with New Zealand’s Winter Paralympic programme, so I’m sure his address will cover some wide areas including his team being involved in the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.”

“Mrs Liddle said demand for tickets had been huge and the event had sold out already.”

Entries are open to exporters between Wairoa and Waipukurau. Awards to be decided are Napier Port Most Sustainable in Export Award, QBE Most Exciting New Product in Export Award, NZL Container Co Innovation in Export Award. The winner in each category will then contest the supreme award of the ASB Exporter of the Year.
