NZME’s Driven Launches Vehicle Buy/Sell Platform

NZME’s Driven Launches Vehicle Buy/Sell Platform

15 June 2016 – New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) is leveraging the experienced and trusted name of Driven to launch self-service online vehicle listings, the new place for private owners to buy and sell cars. Launching today, the new platform will sit alongside the listings for dealer-owned vehicles, and allow people to advertise their vehicles on a platform that is promoted across NZME’s national digital reach of over two million people every month*.

The site enables customers to easily manage their listing including a description of their car and the ability to add photos via the self-service model on driven.co.nz, under the New Zealand Herald umbrella.

Tony Verdon, managing editor of driven.co.nz, says Driven is one of the most respected motoring websites in New Zealand and has a strong following.

“We launched driven.co.nz last year, providing motoring enthusiasts with daily content including the latest national and international motoring news, video, expert and trusted reviewers plus dealer listings for new and used cars across the country,” he said.

Richard Harrison, NZME Director eCommerce and New Ventures says the decision to launch Driven listings came from identifying an opportunity in the online classifieds space.

“Driven is already a trusted name for news and reviews of automobiles, so it makes sense to incorporate user listings into this domain alongside the dealer listings. This will streamline the buying process for users - they will be able to look at what’s currently on the market, conduct their research and receive impartial vehicle news and reviews all on one site. Armed with that knowledge, they are already in the right place to engage with the seller”.

A number of NZME radio personalities are supporting the launch, although judging from the clips it appears some will have an easier time than others selling their vehicle.

To celebrate the launch, for a limited time only, sellers can list their car at no cost on sellmycar.driven.co.nz.
