Wither Hills Relaunches Single Vineyard Collection

Wither Hills Relaunches Single Vineyard Collection

17 June, 2016

Wither Hills has relaunched a collection of three Single Vineyard wines, each made beautifully in Wither Hills’ iconic vineyards; Rarangi, Benmorven and Taylor River.

The Single Vineyard collection includes Rarangi Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Benmorven Chardonnay 2015 and Taylor River Pinot Noir 2013, named after the iconic vineyards in Marlborough from which the grapes are harvested.

Sally Williams, winemaker at Wither Hills for more than 12 years, believes each of the Marlborough Single Vineyard wines truly capture the essence of the vineyard site, the variety and the winemaker.

“Single Vineyard wines are particularly special to us at Wither Hills as they showcase the uniqueness of each site and why these vineyards are so important to our story,” says Williams.

“Our Rarangi Sauvignon Blanc has been in market since 2007, and we’ve produced small volumes of Single Vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay over the years. Following the success of these wines and some amazing feedback, we have now brought them together as a collection.”

Dave Campbell, Senior Brand Manager at Lion, says the Single Vineyard wines are supported by the new Wither Hills ‘Made Beautifully’ campaign, which reaffirms the beautiful place Wither Hills’ wine comes from and highlights the people and the passion that goes into making the wine.

Accompanying the new Single Vineyard release is the Wither Hills 360 Experience — a virtual reality tour that can be taken from the comfort of your own home. Viewers can experience a day in the life of a Wither Hills winemaker as they are led among the vines, observe a wine blending session in the barrel hall, visit the Wither Hills cellar door and are flown over the estate at sunset.
