New general manager for Harcourts Hawke’s Bay

New general manager for Harcourts Hawke’s Bay

27 June, 2016

Kaine Wilson, Managing Director of Harcourts Hawke’s Bay, is delighted to announce the appointment of James Cooper as general manager.

James comes to the business with more than 15 years’ experience in media, marketing and communications. For the past four years he has successfully managed the Eastern Region for NZME. This role covered Hawke’s Bay, Taupo, Gisborne and Rotorua.

Whilst at NZME, James was responsible for leading the content, sales and the marketing strategies for radio for the Eastern Region. Most recently, James was awarded NZME General Manager of the Year and also led the Hawke’s Bay sales team to the final for the 2016 New Zealand Radio Awards.

James has a strong background in marketing and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. In 2010 he graduated with a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Waikato, where his major research project investigated ways to improve the overall customer experience.

“I am passionate about customer service. I believe it is absolutely critical to building enduring relationships. I chose to join Harcourts because the customer is at the heart of everything we do. At Harcourts we have a simple philosophy – together we create success.

“We are always looking out our business and asking, how can we deliver greater value to our customers? That’s why we’ve recently launched our Luxury Property Selection.

“I also love that Harcourts is committed to supporting the local community. I believe that supporting the community in which we live and do business, is good for business and the community as a whole.

“The Harcourts Foundation has raised more $4 million for local communities and it’s wonderful to be working for a locally owned organisation that is giving back.

“One such example is our sponsorship of the Harcourts Hawke’s Bay Arts Festival. We’re really proud to be helping bring a quality cultural festival to The Bay that feature acts which have never toured the region, covering all bases from children to adults and entire families.

“Hawke’s Bay is a fantastic place to live and do business - and that’s why I’m incredibly proud to call Hawke’s Bay home.”
