Merino Kids Expand Their Flock!

Merino Kids Expand Their Flock!

Iconic A-list children’s sleepwear brand, Merino Kids, has been scouting locations throughout New Zealand and are excited to announce that they will be expanding their flock into the Auckland-based ecostore in Freemans Bay. Not only will this enable them to continue to showcase and sell their award winning products, but this is a start of a new strategic phase for the company.

Merino Kids, who started out at their Herne Bay location in 2003 has been based there for nearly thirteen years. They are now entering a new and exciting strategic phase, which has seen their Australasia distribution centre move in-house and down to the Wairarapa. The Australasia sales office will remain in Auckland.

Founder Amie Nilsson introduced the sleepwear solutions company out of necessity at the time and said that the brand, originally established in New Zealand, has grown from strength to strength on a global scale with continuing revenue increases year-on-year.

She said “We have been blown away by the increase in following Merino Kids has received since we started it back in 2003. What originally started out as an idea to provide new parents with some peace of mind, has grown into something much more than that. Not only have we managed to win a number of international awards for our innovative designs, but gained recognition for specific products as 'hip healthy' products by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. We’re continuing to work with leading global hospitals like Chelsea and Westminster and sleep specialists around the world and most importantly Merino Kids as a brand has helped thousands of families across the world get a good night's sleep!"
