The Block NZ Wins Sunday & Hits Ratings High, Story Outperforms Seven Sharp


The Block NZ: Girls vs Boys once again won its timeslot on Sunday night, securing the highest audience among its target of viewers aged 25-54, as well as 18-49 and 18-39.

Tuesday night saw The Block NZ secure the highest rating for the season to date, a 10.8 in its target demographic of 25-54, with viewers tuning in to see Mark Richardson lay down the law to the alleged rule benders Sam and Emmett.

The programme is seeing continuous growth in On-Demand viewing, with an increase in Video On-Demand viewing and live-streaming of The Block NZcontent compared to last season.

Wednesday night saw Story outperform Seven Sharp across all four key commercial demographics, attracting 101,800 versus 91,500 viewers across the timeslot among 25-54 viewers, also beating the competition in 18-39, 18-49 and Household Shoppers with Kids.

Featuring stories on self-driving cars, a look at growing up gay in New Zealand, an interview with Billy Crystal and the continuing story of Kiwi athletes who missed out on Olympic gold, the 6th of July episode was the fifth time Story has outperformed Seven Sharp across all key demographics, and the eighth time in 25-54.
