Celebrating the people behind Wellington’s property industry

Media release

12 July 2016

Celebrating the people behind Wellington’s property industry

It’s that time again, nominations are open for Property Council’s Wellington Property People Awards. This is a night to celebrate the people who drive the property industry in Wellington.

According to the Property Council’s Wellington Branch President, Mike Cole, the awards underscore the property industry’s importance in Wellington, not only as a provider of jobs and amenities, but also as an urban place maker.

“People often don’t realise the role that property plays in Wellington. The property industry employs a substantial number of people as it builds the communities of today and of the future. It is also the spearhead behind the urban rejuvenation and development we are seeing across Wellington”, said Mr Cole.

“The awards commend those who have positively contributed to the industry over the last year. The great thing about these awards is we celebrate people from across the spectrum, from the young achievers to those who have spent their careers building Wellington’s urban fabric”.

We call on Wellingtonians to acknowledge the success and exceptional commitment of their industry peers in one of the following 6 awards:

Beca Young Achiever of the Year Award

Ortus International Long Service Award

Archaus Urban Design and Architectural Merit Award

Colliers International Best Team for Regional Project Award

Prendos Property Industry Associate of the Year Award

Venator Outstanding Leadership Award

We will also be presenting the Greenwood Roche Wellington Laureate Award.

Property Council would like to thank Hawkins and AECOM as premium sponsors of the Wellington Property People Awards.

We have extended the nomination period to Wednesday 27 July 2016. More information about the Wellington Property People Awards can be found at
