Think big while supporting local

12th July 2016

Think big while supporting local

“Think big while supporting local” was one of the key messages shared by George Miller from successful Hawkes Bay Digital Marketing company “Mogul” in her role as guest speaker at the BNI Big Breakfast this morning. Held at “Off The Track” in Havelock North, the BNI Big Breakfast was an opportunity for 100 local Hawkes Bay businesses to come together, network, collaborate and to share ideas.

From humble beginnings, Mogul have grown into an inspiring regional business success, with continued development and growth into both local and international markets. “BNI is part of Mogul history”, explains George. “The framework and experience it gave us put us in a good stead for the future”. With the sun rising over Te Mata peak in the background at Off The Track, George encouraged local businesses to think big, while building strong local relationships.

BNI is the world’s largest referral organisation, and Hawkes Bay is well represented with four local chapters and memberships ranging from 20 to 45 across Napier, Hastings and Havelock North. The biggest chapter in the region has successfully grown to pass referrals of over one million dollars annually. Weekly breakfast meetings last for 90 minutes and only one person from each professional specialty is accepted into a chapter of BNI. As a Hospice supporter both locally and nationally, BNI chapters also run regular events and fundraising activities.

Hawkes Bay businesses interested in becoming part of BNI or visiting a chapter should contact their local leadership team. Contact details can be found on the BNI website ( www.bni.co.nz) or please contact regional BNI coordinator Fred Lewis. flewis@bni.co.nz
