New consultancy makes HR much easier for business
A new HR consultancy has been
launched to help New Zealand businesses as they face
increasing compliance such as new health and safety
legislation, make greater sense of the 90-day trial period,
and get more out of performance appraisals.
Dough HR says its arrival into the marketplace follows feedback from businesses that they just want to get on with the job. Determined to remove all the stress and hassle often associated with the “people stuff” Dough HR has launched its website www.dough.nz
With the strapline “Profit From A Better Mix” the consultancy is the brainchild of two HR practitioners Diana Barry and Kate Brewer. The business partners have extensive experience having worked with some of New Zealand’s biggest entities including Noel Leeming, Sovereign Assurance, ASB, Inland Revenue, Placemakers, and Kirkcaldie & Stains.
“We strongly believe that excellent Human Resources management doesn’t have to be complicated. We provide simple, practical, people solutions to ensure your business will rise. What’s more we tailor our solutions to businesses’ specific needs, workplace culture and goals,” says Mrs Barry.
Diana Barry has significant experience. Recently she successfully guided and led a large number of employees through a period of consultation, training, redundancy and re-employment. She is a resourceful and no-fuss consultant who specialises in employment contracts, bringing employees on board, performance and change management, performance appraisals, and the design and implementation of policies and procedures.
We bring a diverse yet complementary
mix of knowledge, expertise and experience when it comes to
big companies as well as smaller workplaces,” says Mrs
Brewer.
Kate Brewer has extensive corporate experience
in recruiting, advising, developing and implementing HR
strategies with particular emphasis on leadership capability
and workplace diversity.
Dough HR believes ensuring top individual performances leads to thriving businesses and that starts with finding the best person for the job, then providing them with the right support.
“Well-defined roles with clear responsibilities and expectations will enable the growth and development of your staff. Performance appraisals should help you get the best out of your people and Dough HR makes such reviews easy for both your managers and staff to manage. We can assist you to develop remuneration strategies, pay structures and performance rewards. As well, we manage workplace change and advise on learning and development opportunities,” says Mrs Barry.
In addition to employing the right people and supporting them to reach their full potential, developing and maintaining robust HR policies and processes is vital to business growth, say the business partners.
Dough HR focuses on delivering easily understood and legally compliant employment contracts and documentation - ensuring clear, fair and consistent policies and procedures. These not only help cement strong employment relationships but they say such investment also saves businesses time and money and helps avoid costly employment disputes.
“We can show you how to navigate the depths of the 90-day trial period, collective bargaining with unions, and workplace problems such as conflict or misconduct. Dough HR can also provide you with easily understood health and safety policies and systems to ensure the welfare of your people, as well as minimise any legal or financial risk to your business. We assist with people dramas, trouble shooting and resolving common problems including conflict, poor performance, high turnover and serious misconduct,” says Diana Barry.
Dough HR also provides its clients with regular reviews, briefings and updated employment information and legislation to keep businesses well-informed and ahead of the game.
“We’re all about making HR
easy and delivering businesses peace of mind. So far our
message is resonating with early interest in our consultancy
services strong,” says Mrs Brewer.
