Colliers International excels at REINZ awards

Colliers International won all three categories it entered in the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ) Awards for Excellence last night.

The three category winners were:

• Large Commercial & Industrial Office of the Year -
Colliers International NZ Ltd – Auckland CBD

• Medium Commercial & Industrial Office of the Year -
Colliers International Highbrook Office

• Commercial & Industrial Salesperson of the Year -
Dean Humphries

This is the first time Colliers has won the Large Commercial & Industrial Office of the Year category and Auckland managing director Charles Cooper says it reflects the growth and performance the company has delivered.

“This is an extremely competitive category and winning it is testament to the quality of brokerage and service we provide our clients with. It is a key benchmark in the company’s achievements.”

Colliers’ industrial team based at Highbrook, South Auckland, took home the Medium Commercial and Industrial Office of the Year award for the third time, and national director of Industrial Sales & Leasing, Greg Goldfinch, says the award endorses the team’s market-leading position.

“This prestigious recognition from REINZ is testimony to our reputation as a leading service provider, maintaining strong relationships with our valued clients which bring us repeat business every year. It is particularly satisfying coming off the back of our recent RICS award for Industrial Team of the Year.”

The Highbrook industrial office had its seventh record year in a row last year and a number of notable transactions, many of which were the largest industrial property sales in New Zealand in 2015, helped the office win the award.

Dean Humphries, Colliers national director of Hotels, says winning the Commercial & Industrial Salesperson of the Year is a career highlight.

“Winning this award against the top salespeople of all agencies around the entire country makes the effort and commitment over the last year extremely rewarding.”

Colliers International’s REINZ recognition follows the company’s five award victories at the annual Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) New Zealand commercial property awards last month.

CEO Mark Synnott says the national award recognition is very satisfying.

“To win eight major industry awards in two months is extremely pleasing and is a reflection of the hard work put in by our teams around New Zealand.”
