Andrea Moore Brings Design Integrity to the Mass Market

Andrea Moore Brings Design Integrity to the Mass Market

Launches diffusion line I AM in Farmers Stores
and online investment offer via Snowball Effect

Andrea Moore is bringing design integrity to a mass audience and significantly growing her brand with the launch of a diffusion range (I AM) available in Farmers stores from 15 August, 2016. The full collection debuts at New Zealand Fashion Weekend with an in-season show on 27 August.

With seven stores nationwide and more than a decade in retail, Moore and business / life partner Brian Molloy have conquered significant hurdles to build a scalable fashion business in New Zealand. The launch of I AM in Farmers marks a step change for the brand.

A considered step in a broader business strategy, the launch secures a path for long-term growth of the brand by making design integrity accessible and affordable for a broader market in New Zealand.

Moore and Molloy cite the talented team they have built around them as a key element on their journey to business success as well as a real passion for celebrating women.

"Brian is the business side and I'm the creative side and neither could do without the other," comments Moore. "We have also built a close knit group of staff, who are passionate about dressing fascinating women who live their lives to the full. We’re delighted to take the brand to an even wider audience of New Zealand women with the launch of I AM in Farmers stores.”

Farmers Group Merchandise Manager Eula Wood says, “We are thrilled to be housing the all-new I AM collection. Andrea Moore is one of New Zealand’s leading designers and her fresh, contemporary collection will be welcomed by Farmers shoppers.

“The I AM addition is one of many new-season changes that will help to further position Farmers as a modern shopping destination among Kiwis. It signifies an exciting direction for the department store.”

Comprising 26 styles, the bold and playful new I AM collection is focused around interchangeable separates and dresses in bespoke prints. Items in the collection will retail from $69.99 to $189.99.

A much sought after, long-standing fashion brand, Andrea Moore is known for its signature use of colour, original prints and forcelebrating the individuality, strength and creativity of women.

When designing the diffusion line, Moore was inspired by a playful attitude, combining quirky prints with strong simple shapes.

"With I AM we’re appealing to the weekend personality of our Andrea Moore customers with a playful collection designed to work together and make dressing easy,” says Moore.

Like the Andrea Moore label, all prints in the I AM collections are designed, considered and original, offering customers a unique product at the best possible quality and price.

In a creative move to support the next stage of development, Andrea Moore & Co Limited is also launching an online investment offer this month via Snowball Effect. The aim is to raise between $250,000 and $750,000 for between 6.7% and 17.6% of the shares in the company, to help finance the working capital requirements for their expected growth.

Andrea Moore & Co Limited plans to offer new shareholders great rewards including gift certificates in the short term, shareholder events, tickets to New Zealand Fashion Week and in the longer term, dividends and capital value appreciation.

The investment opportunity will be available to the public from 27 July 2016. For full details and a copy of the information memorandum refer to https://www.snowballeffect.co.nz/.

The move is an innovative approach to raising the significant funds required to support the growth of a fashion brand and gives customers and the broader public the opportunity to invest in and have equity in this growing business. Other New Zealand companies to utilise this method recently include Squirrel Mortgages and Invivo wines.

Brian Molloy says, “We’re genuinely excited about the growth opportunities available to Andrea Moore. The Snowball Effect platform appealed to us as a very democratic way of reaching a broad range of investors. It allows us to connect with the growing market of people out there who are looking for high growth private enterprise opportunities outside the more traditional avenues such as investing in the stock market. Many of those people are our customers – so we also saw it as a way to bring our customers even closer as we progress on our journey as a business.”

The past 10 years have seen the Andrea Moore label rise through the ranks to become one of the country's most sought after brands well known for an intelligent, slouchy, yet elegant aesthetic and design integrity.

With the launch of I AM in Farmers and an investment offer to support further growth, the next chapter for the business is a bright one paving the way for a successful future in fashion, in New Zealand and beyond.
