Kerikeri Gets the Sound

MediaWorks is pleased to announce The Sound will be hitting Kerikeri airwaves onSeptember 2, giving locals the opportunity to tune in to New Zealand’s number one music station for all people 25-54*.

The Sound is the station that plays the greatest music of all time, from the artists that still matter – The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and many more. Targeting males aged 35-59, The Sound plays the music their listeners grew up with.

MediaWorks Northland General Manager Erena Miller says, “We are thrilled to be bringing The Sound to Kerikeri and the surrounds. We have had great feedback in Whangarei since The Sound launched and an overwhelming demand from our listeners to extend The Sound further north. The Sound will also provide fantastic opportunities for local businesses to reach a loyal and attentive audience on a station where the music matters.”

Network Content Director Mal Lewis says: “I'm extremely excited we get the chance to extend The Sound into the Kerikeri region and welcome them to our passionate music loving family! Featuring The Morning Sound with Leah, Nik & Rigor and the greatest music ever made, The Sound is the number one choice for listeners 25-54* nationally. I know we are pumped to be heading into the region at last and I think the Kerikeri listeners will love us too!”
