Duty Free Superstar Bags Top Award

Several Auckland Airport retail staff have been formally recognised for their outstanding work ethic and customer service at the 2016 Auckland Airport Retail Excellence Awards.

One of the most coveted awards was the MVP award for Outstanding Customer Service. Angela Akai, sales advisor for the Loop Duty Free NZ was one of two winners for this award.

Held on Tuesday 13th September at the stunning Villa Maria Estate, the awards were judged by an independent panel representing Auckland Airport.

A bubbly Akai said of the win; “I love working at The Loop Duty Free and giving the best customer experience that I possibly can. It is awesome to be recognised for that as one of the MVP’s at Auckland Airport.”

Elena Baker, Retail Manager, The Loop Duty Free, New Zealand, said; “Angela’s passion and enthusiasm for ensuring that every customer has an outstanding shopping experience is simply contagious. It is not just our customers who appreciate her generous and warm spirit but our entire team. She embodies the culture that underpins our brand. We are hugely proud of her and not at all surprised that she has won this award.”
