Talent Software Firms Merge to Create Asia Pacific Force

Talent Software Firms Merge to Create Asia Pacific Force

Two successful HR tech firms are uniting to offer Asia Pacific based companies a stronger local choice for talent management software.

Christchurch, New Zealand and Sydney, Australia. 25 November 2016. Talent management software providers Pivot Software and Remesys have today announced a merger of their operations across the Asia Pacific market.

“Combining the forces of two high-performing local providers will help us present an attractive proposition to the market and accelerate our growth,” says Philippa Youngman, founder and CEO Pivot Software, who will be Managing Director of the merged business.

“The opportunities for helping organisations in our region use technology to develop engaged and productive workforces are enormous, and this merged entity will be better able to leverage these opportunities.”

Pivot Software and Remesys both offer remuneration management and performance management software across the Asia Pacific region, counting brands like AMP, AGL, Allianz, Boral, Foxtel, News Corp, Orica, and SMEC as customers in Australia; and Fonterra, Fulton Hogan, The Warehouse, IAG and Westpac in New Zealand.

“We firmly believe that the ‘whole’ of this merger will be even greater than the sum of its parts,” says Remesys director Natalie Feller. “Across the businesses we have arguably the best remuneration solutions in the region along with creative and flexible talent management solutions, talented staff with deep HR experience, and an exceptionally strong combined customer basis.”

Ms Feller says the merger provides the opportunity to compete more aggressively against the multinational software companies in the market, and to service a larger and broader customer base. “Organisations in the Asia Pacific region require HR software that can manage their unique requirements, and is supported by people who have a strong understanding of talent management in a local context.”

The respective brands of Pivot Software and Remesys will continue after the merger on 1 December 2016, and there will be no change for existing customers, who will continue to use their respective products with the same levels of support.

Ms Youngman also confirmed that all Remesys and Pivot Software employees will continue working for the combined company, and the Directors of both companies will be shareholders in the combined company and actively working in the company.
