FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE [23/02/2017]

Recruitment Agency on track to change the face of the industry.

Auckland’s RWA Technology People take home inaugural NZHR Award for Recruitment Excellence.

Auckland, [23/02/2017]: RWA Technology People are pleased to announce that we were judged the winner of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand’s (HRINZ) inaugural Recruitment Excellence award. This is the first time that the NZHR Awards have had a specific category for recruitment.

“We’ve been on a journey for the past two years to try and change the perception of the recruitment industry,” said RWA director, Mike Hogg, “The industry has an association with poor candidate care and lack of engagement with the industries we serve.”

“Nowadays, with the world changing so fast, it’s really crucial to give back to the communities you service if you want to be successful.

“We’ve put a range of initiatives in place aimed at delivering truly excellent service. Our goal is to provide our clients and candidates with useful resources and unmatched accessibility to recruiters, and everything from our business strategy to the structure of our team is built around this objective.

“In November, we won the SEEK Annual Recruitment Award for Most Innovative Agency of the Year, and we felt this award was a chance to be measured against other industries – so we’re delighted to come out on top. Winning this award is proof that we’re on the right track.”

Denis Parkinson, RWA Director, added that the path was by no means easy.

“We’re delighted to win an award that is so closely aligned with our values, and we’d like to give a hand to the other finalists, Beca, for the fantastic work that they’ve done in the space too.”

“This is a great achievement for us and we’re excited to continue on our journey; helping the Auckland IT community and changing what it means to be a recruiter.

“The pride our team has for the role they play in making a difference to people’s lives is on show every day, and this is a great way to reward that commitment.”

Chris Till, Chief Executive of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRINZ), said that the level of competition of the awards is a great sign for the industry.

“This year’s finalists and winners have demonstrated an extraordinary level of achievement in their categories.

“With a record number of awards being presented, this evening highlights how truly impactful our profession is in workplaces.”
