Young & Nestless Building Online Community
Young & Nestless Building Online Community to get Young Kiwis Buying Homes
Auckland, 31 March 2017 –
Kiwi company Young & Nestless, which aims to get young Kiwis
into new homes of their own, is today launching an equity
crowdfunding round to support the growth of its online
platform.
The offer is being made through AlphaCrowd's equity crowdfunding platform. A video detailing the platform and investment offering can be found here: https://www.alphacrowd.co.nz/.
Young & Nestless is creating an online community that addresses two of the largest problems in buying a home in New Zealand, saving a deposit and repayments.
· Young & Nestless
provides a system that trains, informs, and supports young
people in achieving first home deposit savings targets in as
little as five years
· It creates a community
with bargaining power, leveraging the power of its members
to grow their personal savings and lower supplier costs
through its systems and scale
“Everyone in New Zealand is aware that housing prices keep growing, it’s getting more difficult for young people to buy a first home of their own,” said Lisa Dudson, noted author, financial commentator, and Independent Director of Young & Nestless.
“For our parents and grandparents, house prices were affordable on an average wage. That’s just not the case anymore. Millennials have resigned themselves to becoming ‘generation rent’, and even rent continues to rise. Young & Nestless is addressing this problem and will, over time, create more young home owners.”
On becoming members, Young & Nestless gives young people the training and support to put them on the path to owning a new home. In addition, the company saves its members money.
Young & Nestless plans to leverage the power of its size to gain better returns and savings in three key areas: mortgage rates, insurance premiums and housing costs.
An added feature of the Young & Nestless community is to protect its members’ contributions with an insurance programme. It covers their earning ability during the savings period, and converts it to a mortgage protection programme when they have acquired their new home.
There’s even a direct contribution of $1,000 to members’ savings after they’ve been with the community for two years.
“Young & Nestless is like a ‘buyers club’ for anyone looking to buy their first home. And the best part is the larger it grows the more benefits it’ll deliver. Almost anyone who’s dreamed of owning their own home can – they just need the knowledge and support to do it. With Young & Nestless that’s just what we’re giving them,” added Dudson.
Young & Nestless is seeking to raise funds through equity crowdfunding to complete the build of its online, automated platform and dashboard. Funds raised will also drive growth of the business through the early stages. Investments begin at $312.50 for asset class, ordinary shares. The first closing date is 20 April 2017. Young & Nestless is looking to raise between $100,000 and $375,000 for a maximum share of 5.0 percent equity.
